Default Step-by-step Guide Wanted

I am after a step by step guide on how to change the front valve cover (or rocker cover) gasket on a 1MZ-FE engine. This is for my 3rd Gen ES300.

I looked through the FSM and from what I saw I had to effectively remove the timing belt plus a host of other things to get it done. I have also read on these forums and others, that this doesn't take that long and isn't that hard (if it's only the front cover not the rear one as it's fine).

Does anyone have a guide on how to do this (preferrably with pictures)? I can find my way around and have taken things out and put them back in before, so at least know my way around a toolbox etc.

Any assistance would be great. I don't want to have to pay the dealership $600+ dollars to do this job (car is currently in the shop having the timing belt done - finally!).

Well the timing belt is done and it all went well. Car's back and it feels better. I will get a chance to take it for a cruise tomorrow night to see how different it feels.

Does anyone have an answer yet for my query? Step by step DIY for Front Valve Cover (or Rocker Cover) gasket remove and replace.

I have looked through the FSM again, and I have found a spot where it talks about removing the valve cover, but all the steps prior to this indicate removing the exhaust manifold and a whole load of components (as it falls under the Cylinder Head section). Is there just an area for the Valve cover to be removed? Help would be really appreciated.

Have you tried searching the net for the same task on a V6 camry or solara, maybe even the RX300 or highlander?
