Thanks! I had the sport edition, so the side skirts and spoiler are stock. I added the front and rear ground kit. Doesn't look quite so bubbly and granny that way. Would have been 100 times better if it had a manaul trans.

I guess, I can say I'm done with her. Now, just have to keep her factory maintained, engine wise. I might in the future change the front bumper to a 00-01 bumper and a rear bumper cover from VIS Racing or Extreme Dimensions. Otherwise, it is safe to say I'm done and very pleased with the way she looks and hope she keeps on running forever.
Rob it looks good. That looks like an RX ****, black for a grey interior though, you didn't find a grey one? Are you still experiencing that rob getting stuck issue?

Yup, its an RX ****. My interior is actually beige/tan. My steering wheel is wood and black, so I figured I would get the **** to match the steering wheel, plus I got the **** for $70.00, couldnt argue with that. No problems with the rod getting stuck, just had to do a lot of work arounds and make sure the rod was angled correctly so it would not stick. Just recently had a water leak from my upper molding above the passenger side windows. I have noticed the molding had separated from the car a good half inch and now allows water into the car. My passenger floor board was soaked with water from all the rain we have been getting in Calif.; anyways, car is at the dealer getting window seal molding. The parts are $225.00 and the labor is another $225.00, so about 450.00 for one side and I noticed the drivers side is doing the same thing, but not leaking yet. So, I will have to get that done after the holidays.

Default February 2011 Update

Well, had to make some adjustments to my car, nothing major all minor and repairs. I've been dealing with a CEL, P0170, system to lean, bank 1, ever since I got the CEL resolved for faulty knock sensors. Well, I went back to my OEM air intake system and my P0170 has resolved. The 1MZ-FE engine is very sensitive to much airflow going into the intake system or a bad design flaw in the Weapon R intake system. The OEM intake has two hoses that are in front of the MAF sensor and one hose behind the MAF sensor, the one behind comes from the engine near where the oil cap is. On the Weapon R intake system all three hoses come into the intake on the side of where the MAF sensor is, completely missing the MAF sensor and the airflow from those hoses dont get registered thru the MAF sensor. I believe this airflow that doesnt pass thru and register thru the MAF sensor is causing the the extra oxygen to enter the intake, which then causes the leaness in the burnt gases, which in turn causes the CEL. So, I am going to stay with the OEM intake and probably sell my Weapon R intake system. I also had to replace my Optima Red Top battery after 2.5 years. Thank god it was still under full replacement warranty. I also raised my car a quarter of an inch all around, due to rubbing issues, front and back on the fenders. The car is running great once again and also have a new female friend that works at my local Lexus dealer in the service dept and she is my hook up for OEM Lexus parts and service for the future. Lastly, my wood and leather shift **** is working like a gem. My future mods is a rear bumper lip, if I can find one and maybe an upgrade to the front bumper from a 00-01 ES300. Any questions from anyone is welcomed and if your on Facebook, you can add me at angmedic911@gmail.com. I will hopefully be posting pics soon of the Weapon R intake and my other few parts I still have, that havent been sold yet. Good luck to everyone modding or maintaining their ES300. Deuce!

Akabond, the shifter is from a Lexus RX300. I cant remember the year it came off of off hand, but if you read before this post, I know I mention the year. Otherwise, I bought off a seller on ebay. The swap over is pretty easy, but you do have to re-drill the holes on the base of the **** so it can screw in securely to the shift pole. And you have to do some slight bending of the shift pole rod. The angle of the rod is a bit different on the ES than on the RX, so the shift rod sometimes binds and doesnt pop up easily. With some time and effort, and lubricant it will work. Mine works well and pops up all the time, with a slight bind at times, but just a couple of flicks of the side shift button and it pops up again. And thanks for the compliment and good luck to you if you persue the upgrade.
