93 ES300 - rattling sound in engine
Okay everyone,
I am coming to the experts. I just had my thermostat, water pump, timing belt, power steering and alternator belts replaced along with my top motor mount (the dogbone one). Car runs great and no more overheating. It is now making a kind of rattling sound from the engine. It sounds like it is either near the timing belt cover or the intake manifold area. If I rev the enging, the rattling sound speeds up with it. I am concerned since my engine had overheated before having all of this work done.
Does anyone know what this might be? Could my timing be a little off?
Please help as it is annoying me and has me concerned.
Thanks!

Chances are that the timming is fine, if the mechainc had installed the new belt even 1 tooth off you would feel a very significant lose of power. Chances are something is loose, or contacting something that it should not be. Take it back and have your mechanic look at it.
