I have a 2001 es300 and I want to replace my factory head unit but do I buy a double din or a single din? I dont want to go all crazy and super mod this car. I just want to put an indash dvd and navagation in with as little effort as possible. Another question is do I need an amp bypass or do you not need those anymore even if the car has a factory amp? Hell, I dont even know if this car has a factory amp so if anyone knows, please let me know. I added a pic of my dash so I hope that helps. If there is anything else, please speak up.

just depends on what size headunit your putting in.

Car has a factory Amp. You can put a single or double din in, it will fit both.

If you want an indash / navigation system then IMO a double-din would be ideal. A double-din will also fill the whole space better.
