the shifting lights, "P-R-N-D-1-2" between the driver and passenger will light up sometimes and other times it wont light up at all. could it be the fuse thats out? how can i fix that?

You have rough roads? It could sometimes be as simple as the bulb being loose.

And i will tell you know its a b**ch to get at, very small/tight compartment. It took me 5 mins to put in a LED FFS...

whats the small piece infront of the shifter ****? i took the plastic off and it was this white piece of plastic that wouldnt pop loose, what is that, the fuse for the lights?

No. That **** has NOTHING to do with anything mechanical/electrical. All it is is a transmission lock. So that part that doesn't allow the car to turn off on Neutral. You depress that and the car can be off, move from 'Park' to 'Neutral'.
