CorLexusES, you know what this thread is about right... you don't have the same car.....lol
djmlexus, this was your first post? welcome aboard
that bmw was truely the closest competition for 92 and 93 and the maxima was pretty close, too
the thing that i dont understand is that many of the cars were signifigantly slower, many were fugly, and all got about the same mpg average, 22mpg.
so, even the fast cars, like the lexus, same fuel econ.
the quietest car - lexus.
other car mag, i can't remmeber at the moment, pushed around a es 300 and so forth, in 1992 or 1993, review, and they found it had BETTER g's than the bmw, which translated into better offramp performance.
and obviously, that bmw is a torqueless light weight noisey car. and bmw is not as cheap to maintain, but also had more things go wrong during ownership. and it's smaller inside.
and somehow, the drivers machine, couldn't out accel the lex to 60mph, the legal speed limit is 55, further, the lex is faster off the line, which matters most in a big luxury car.
its just sad they're always biased, especially back then , to picking cars they as sportcar-enthusisasts prefer, the BMW's particular set up, instead of a real fair , everyday person's fav car. such bias is so sad. besides, that bmw is not that great in looks.
