the owner told me he drive too fast in a corner... where the car out of control and spin > hit a crub > hit a tree.........that is just silly if you ask me.........

that sucks to hear.

I would love to grab that kit off the car, but seeing how it is no more than no point...

It looked good *in its prime*

Wait a minute - is that first picture on a track? I can't imagine that went well...

How did the driver manage to spin the car? I would have expected it to just understeer into oblivion.

I guess your wider tires would help too. Mine is on the stock 185's, which just squeal and squeal but don't grip - and I can't manage to stay planted in the stock seats, and the shocks are so old that the car leans to the point where it smacks the bump stops in hard corners. It would appear that you have Eibachs and Bilsteins - I have eibachs and bilstein sports on my old 1979 BMW E21 (1st generation 3 series), and I love them.

None the less, I can't ever see an ES being very competitive just due to it's size, weight, and FWD combined with a lack of power. Oh well, it gets me to/from work much more comfortably than my other car. Do you have any videos from the track? That would be fun to see. The track is where my E21 comes in handy
incoming lazy iphone picture:

That car has NO lean, has pretty neutral handling (no over/under steer), about 240 hp at just 2200 lbs makes for quick acceleration, later braking, and earlier WOT out of turns, and the roll cage makes for a good spot for harnesses, so I don't slide all over the damn place. It's also about 2/3 as long as the ES - very small car. I used to have a picture of one next an F150 - i'll try to dig it up.

i just doing it for fun and test the limit of the ES after all the suspension upgrade...it does understeer but under control.......the es is poor on power to weight ratio...anyway...

The eibach/bilstein comb is on my new to me IS300 sportcross(currently own)....not ES300.

I've done the same thing - we put my mother's RX330 on the track a while back - now THAT was terrifying!

Very sad to hear about your ES. You had a nice looking one too. Hopefully you'll be staying with Lexus whether it be an ES or any other Lexus model...

Sorry about your car. Quick question though, how did you get daytime running lights on that 97 model ES.
