Lightbulb 94 Lexus ES300 Easy General Question

Hey guys, I had a simple easy question about my car. I know a lot of cars like mine usually have a generation where the parts for my car might be.

For instance Lexus 1992-1996 would all be the same parts at least most of them would be the same.

Since this is my first Lexus I obviously dont know a whole lot about this series but I do know from a mechanical standpoint they are excellent cars if maintained properly. I would really appreciate anybodys advice about this topic.

Thanks,

Jon

92-96, Most body and interior is the same. (Biggest difference being the 92-94 and 95-96 Headlights and foglights)
92-93, Most Engine/Tranny is the same
94-96, Most Engine/Tranny is the same, with minor varients of the engine parts and power steering.
92-96, Most suspension is the same, with the exception of the strut assemblies.

Tail lights are kinda iffy.

92-94 is one set, and 95-96 is the other. Which is odd considering in 94 they switched engines but left that situation alone.
As far as we know, the holes do not line up.

Awesome guys!! Thanks for the reply, What about small stuff in the interior? For instance I need a new AC Vent the plastic vents were broken when I bought the car so I would like to replace those and it is a very easy install it just pops out with the right tool, Also do you guys know of any sites that I can go to find part numbers for my 94 ES300 for the inside of the car and mechanical parts?

I cant thank the people on this site enough so far, I have had the car for only ten days and I have to be honest this forum is very interactive.

Looks like a successfull thread I created!!! I am really starting to enjoy this thread and I am going to be uploading pictures of my car shortly, Although I have seen a lot of really really nice cars on here my car was supposed to just be a temporary solution, but to be honest everyday that goes by I am liking this car more and more I am used to having a $400 car payment my entire life and I was rear ended by a woman going 55mph and I was dead stopped at a red light.

Before this car I had a 2001 Jaguar S Type.... LOL You want to talk about a mechanical nightmare!?!?!?!?!?! Wow I have never driven a bigger piece of *****, I am being honest when I say this my 94 ES300 that is PAID for drives so much smoother and IMO is a more comfortable ride!!!! I hope to get some pictures up very soon and get some opinions and suggestioins on what you guys think I should get done to make the car look better, I have never really been a big fan of having rims on my car due to the attention it draws to the car and the way the car rides. I would rather spend money on nice tires for the car and get a smoother ride.

Yeah we ES owners are pretty spoiled when it comes to ride quality, reliability, etc. Like they say, once you've own a Lex, you can't never go back! lol
Looking forward to those pics of yours! What you do with your car is a personal thing. Some ppl like one style, others another. But whichever direction you go, you'll get loads of opinions on what you should mod next...it's just a fact of life here in the forums.

LOL, No shot! The tint was put on this week still waiting those painful 3-4 days of not being able to roll the windows down, When your here in Tampa, Fl and its 94 degrees with a humidity percantage of 80% its disgusting outside so when I get into my car it is scorching hot, I am really really skeptical about this transmission flush I have gotten so many mixed reviews on how and if I should even do it, Also keep in mind I replaced my tranny on my last car which was a POS Jag.

I wouldn't recommend a tranny flush on a car with lots of miles on it. Built up deposits inside the tranny can break loose and cause all sorts of problems. I get a drain and fill done about twice a year. Eventually all the fluid is replaced with minimal disturbance to the transmission.
