Question about Airbag light
Before my CEL came on I noticed that my airbag light periodically flashed but it always turned itself off. Lately it constantly flashes so I checked all my seatbelts and noticed that the front passenger's belt felt loose at the B pillar connection so I tried to adjust it upwards and it became stuck in the upwards position. Could that be a possiblity for my annoying blinking airbag light? If so would it be an easy fix?

I occasionally get a flashing airbag light when my wife sits in the passenger seat and kicks her purse back against it. What I've found is there are a few electrical connectors underneath the seat. At least on my 98 ES the front most connector is for the side airbag I believe. Whenever it starts to flash I turn off the car, tighten up all the connectors by pressing them firmly in place(mainly the aformentioned front one), and when I restart the car the ligth has turned off.
At least in my case it's a very easy fix, and it only occurs very rarely (I've since told her to quite shoving her purse back against the seat!). Good luck.
