the gas tank can hold 18 gallons (on a 95 at least). when the gas light goes on just fill up and you'll know how much was in your tank. I tried this before i think it came out to be a little over 4 gallons.

You can fool your car into keeping the light off longer... If you do not accelerate hard or go really fast for a long time, your gas light can be off until about 3.5 gallons left. My 94' Es holds 18.5 gallons in a full tank, i usually refill about 14, sometimes fifteen when the light comes on.

my dad told me he used to have this job out of high school where he would drive brand new nissans straight off the conveyor belt to the shipping docks and the gas light would be on right from the beginning cuz they'd only put enough to make sure there was gas from the tank in the rear to the engine in the front. that's a bit over 2 liters i think.
