98 Suspension
So I've been driving around in Baltimore City alot lately and I've been noticing that my car has been squeaking lately. Don't know whether its the shocks/struts, that suspension bar, or what's making that noise. I want it to go away tho!
Any insight?

Well I mean I realize that. But I'm saying....anything in particular people have experienced that would cause squeaking, or if anyone has changed their shocks/struts/bars/etc. to reduce any noises being made.

yeh mine is doing that, the rubber housing was getting eaten up inside so when it was extending over a hump and then compressing it would squeaaaak against the metal
so i just got 4 whole strut assemblies and swapped them all out

hey, onslaught, yeah bmore streets are the worsts, as you see i reside in Parkville... but yeah, it's definietly either the bushings or the cushions for the mounts... i bought mine and haven't installed them yet, have yet to go rent some spring compressors, but before when i did replace them with the semi worn ones, i didn't hear it at all... now if u hear a slight loud thud or so it may be the struts themselves...

80 each huh? Hmmm well I guess that would be worth it I suppose.
Hey MrGalione9, are you planning on doing this anytime soon. I live in Silver Spring, maybe we can get this done together or maybe we can meet up and see if I'm getting those same noises as you're talking about?

yeh from a wrecker though, but im having a painful time removing the rear nuts that attach the strut to the brake, they have never come off before and are so tight that ive broken 3 sockets, and no matter how hard i try i lift the strut up when trying to loosen lol

spray some PV Blaster on the nuts, let it soak for about 10 min., then try again.
