Default 96 ES with 162k miles- change oil to Synth

I just bought a 96 ES 300 with 159k on it and now is 162k. the owner told me he is been using Synth blend oil form jiffy lube and using mid grade gas.
car is in perfect condition, everything works and trans is very smooth and shifts great.
I am thinking about go full Synth oil on my next oil change, do you guys have any experience on this?

Thanks!

I have a 1998 Lexus ES300 that I bought from my sister several months ago with 132,000 miles on it, she had it serviced thru the Lexus dealer and they used regular oil and a Toyota oil filter. Since buying the vehicle, I just recently switched over to Mobil 1 Extended Performance synthetic oil. I have always used synthetic oil on my past vehicles. I'm using a K&N oil filter also. I switched over since she had no oil leaks what so ever and I've been told synthetic oil is much better for the overall performance and life of the engine.

Go for it. It should be fine. I recommend Castrol Synthetic...the choice is up to you.
