Default Stock wheel help.

Hi Everyone,

First post with a question. I bent a wheel and need to replace it. I thought it was a stock 15X6 JJ. However, I've been told by "people" that it's a 16X6 JJ.

It's off a '97 ES300. I was also told that this particular wheel wasn't available until 2000. I guess they could've been replaced at some point as I bought the car used.

I don't have much....okay.....I have no knowledge about Lexus in general and certainly don't have any idea what wheel to look for. Can someone tell me what wheel this is ? Are they stamped with the size somewhere ?

I'm in Indianapolis, IN. If someone has one available for purchase, I'd be interested.

I hope the pic worked........

eBay. I doubt someone will have one kickign around.

There was a member on here looking for a complete set and no one has anything.

Your best bet, would be:

eBay [from a scrap car] Otherwise you will get a replica alloy, thus it is NOT going to be an original lexus part [and yes, there are far more of these around than OEM ones]

Second, try local junk yards an/or classifieds to see if someone is selling one or parting out a car they recently wrote off.

And yes, those are NOT original on the 97-99 cars, those were standard on 00-01 vehicles!

Good luck on the hunt,
Mike

I found a few on CL. Most are to far to drive and go get, but, I'll figure that out. I'm thinking I'm going to get a "new" set of 4 different type wheels. It's going to be much easier than finding just one to match.

Would someone answer if this wheel should be 16X6 JJ and if there's an indicating mark on the wheel stating it's size ? Do they have common name, like 6 spoke alloy or something of the sort ?

Although this is apparently not the stock wheels for a '97, this is the info that I've found concerning these wheels.

16x6 JJ
The bolt pattern is 5x114.3
The lug size is 12mmx1.5
The centerbore is 60.1mm

Those are definitely the 16" rims off the 00-01 ES. You can tell from the tire sidewall, there are numbers indicating the width, sidewall ratio, and rim diameter.

For example, my tires are 205/65R15, meaning 205mm wide, the sidewall being 65% as wide as the tire, and the last number being the rim diameter in inches, 15" for the stock 5 spoke 97-99 ES rims.

I have a set of 97-99 stock wheels in decent condition. I have them on my car right now, but have another set of wheels I am planning to throw on very soon. I will be willing to them sell if interested. They are the 15" original ES300 wheels. Looks like the wheels on the picture I found online.

Thanks, but I like the 16" tires and wheels on there now and the tires are practically brand new.

I appreciate the info from everyone. I'll keep looking and find one somewhere.
