Need some Help guys.....
Hey guys so I changed the battery of my 03 es300. Everything went fine. Cleaned terminals and double, triple checked that the + and - connections were tight and firm.
Here's the problem. The car cranks and turns over fine but dies right away. I'm able to drive it but I need to keep the foot int the accelerator so the car doesn't just shut off.
What's the problem? I've done many battery changes before but this one is sure not going well. Any help thanks

From other CL members on here, after changing the battery, the ECU resets itself and has to relearn the air/fuel ratio and your driving habit. You need to keep it in park and keep the rpm's up, so the car does not die. If your able to, go and drive the car for about 15 minutes and by then it should have relearned everything. After disconnecting my battery and resetting the ECU my car idles down to 300rpms, then after a drive its back up to a warm idle of 700rpms. Hope this helps.

Asg14, I know there isn't much info here buy I think I explained it pretty clear on what happens exactly.... I'm not sure how much more I can say.
Pretty much I didn't touch anything besides changing the battery. I double checked to see if u had any vacuum leaks anywhere and it all looks good
