Default carbon fiber ES300

hey, just a thought. what do you guys think of a Gold ES (same color as EGainer's) with say, carbon fiber door handles?? i'm thinking of carbon fibering the wood trim by the shifter and cup holder/ashtray but i was thinking what it would look like if i worked on the exterior too. thnx

Default carbon fiber

i would not recommend getting carbon fiber on your gold es, if it is the color of mine. carbon fiber usually looks best on black or gray cars... not our light gold color. on the inside, i would make it more wood trim, maybe try the stick on wood from www.exoticwooddash.com or whatever the site is... that would make it look the best... so i think

let me know what happens

the stuff is actually stick-on film. i could take it off if i don't like it but so far my only problem is cutting the film to make it the shape of that shift **** wood panel area. in the meantime i'm resorting to other small areas.
thanks for the input anyway

Default carbon fiber

The carbon fiber could look good on the inside. what is the thickness of the film. The stuff i was talking about is about 5 mm thick. the carbon fiber is the same way. so it's really just some plastic over a design that looks like wood, and has a sticky back to it. What color carbon fiber are you using? is is black and gray, or black/red or black/yellow, i think there is a black/blue too.

if you can find the cutouts of what our dash inserts are, then you could just cut it out to match the lines of the map. i have seen the pictures on exoticwooddash but i do not know if they sell them there. where did you get the film from?

i haven't opened up the package yet so i dunno the thickness. it's black/grey. i might have to draw out an outline of the dash myself (back to high school geometry). i got it in japan but i think they sell it here too.

Default Carbon fiber

Last night I took the font image of my car, and photoshopped it to see what it would look like with a carbon fiber hood. It actually looks tempting, but I wouldn't get one. It would look much better with ground effects. Has anyone tried the idea that I wanted to try, about putting glowing rings around the canisters in our older headlights. Similar to the BMW lights. I was thinking about getting some glowing wire... opening the headlight again... inserting the wire in front of the silver then have it make a ring around the canister and then string it back into the headlight and do it again with the other canister. Maybe I will draw a picture and try to describe it that way.
