Default ES300 yr:2000... Sabotage? or just another car problem

I have a es300 year 2000 and i was driving yesterday night and all of a sudden i just smell gas like crazy!! i thought it was another car but when my RPMs started to get really low i knew something was wrong. I could not go past 40 mph and was revving at like 3-4000 rpms. i pull over and check whats wrong, i turn my car off and turn it bak on and it starts up very sketchy...i look under the car and GAS is pouring out like a freakin river!!! there was a trail of gas leading to where i had parked. here's what i think, earlier that day my dad came home and told me my hood was open, and im thinking to myself...wtf? b/c i did not drive my car at ALL that day. "coincidentally" later that night my car breaks down. what do u guys think??

Well, something sounds fishy. Do you know where the gas is leaking from? If it is sabotage, I would think somewhere in the engine compartment. But then again it could be a coincedence.

i mean, if u were trying to sabotage my car, hypothetically, could you pop open the hood and do something to make the gas leak like that? from te hood? OR im also guessing i could have hit a speed bump really hard but idk if that would be the case b/c i have hit some speed bumps preety hard b4 on accident but nothing like this has ever happened...right now im on the verge of confronting who i think did this face 2 face. just need 2 make sure if it was a sabatoge...u dnt fck wit another man's car no matter what happened. str8 up girl ****. only *****ez do that. im sorry im just so angry this happened!!

First check the area between the cylinder heads closely, chances are that one of the seals on the fuel rail is bad. You should be able see where it is leaking from. These years to not have cold start injectors, so that eliminates one thing.
I believe the fuel lines run down the other side of the car, so the list of possible components that can cause a leak like this is fairly short. So why would you suspect sabotage? Have you pissed someone off recently?

highly unlikely that someone would cut fuel lines, this is pretty serious ***** and the person would have to be really dumb and out of this world. you've mentioned that you like to go fast over speed bumps ... i say make sure its not you then double tripple check before making any serious accusations.

Too bad you didnt have your mechanic take a picture of the loose screw. Just in case someone here on CL has a similar issue of leaking fuel from under the car. We're all here to help each other out and you issue would be very infomative for the rest of us. Well, I'm glad your mechanic was able to resolve your very serious issue of a major gas leak. Happy driving bro.......

may I ask where this "screw" is that causes gas to leak out like a river if "loose" because I really need to go check that screw right now if that's the case.

Each fuel rail has two bolts, located between the fuel injectors. If one of these bolts were to loosen, the rail could possibly lift, which would explain a massive fuel leak (fuel injectors slip into the fuel rail).
