i have one. its a project... i.e not running. i got more that 3 years ago. was a pre production test vehicle. Somehow, missed the crusher and was abandoned in FL until it showed up on ebay. It has 8k miles. it is NOT immaculate.

Everything is original(coolant, oil) including the crappy eagle ga's

I never did anything with it. I'll take some pics

^any pics? Parts are getting more harder to find for the 5 speed ES300. I tried to purchase a new leather shift **** and shifter boot. Both Items are discontinued =( (for Greige/tan color, not sure about other colors). May have to go to a leather shop to redo both items in genuine Lexus leather.

will start a thread soon! i decided to give it to my mechanic friend in exchange for labor help. I would try to keep it but it would need too much work for me to want it. I would want it in perfect shape, to reflect the 8k. Paint is faded, leather is perfect, but will not age well. I'm sure

Its eggplant purple on dark taupe (purple grey brown)

I will keep ya'll updated once he starts working on it

unless you can still get over and take pics, please invite this new owner to join here too!! to think of all protypes they would make that would also then be leaked to the public, in the usa, etc etc etc that it would be a stick shift [which probably[conjecture] means they took the 5speed pretty seriously despite what others have said]..... I can't wait for that thread.

since the forum topic is 5speed owner update: I got my shift assembly apart and im trying to source a shift control cable for as low priced as possible .... right now im a zero-speed. lol

My updates. Ordered a set of LED lights for my cluster from Superbrightleds.com. SuperPro dogbone mount and front sway bar bushings. I also ordered a new Front engine mount, cargo net, and seat heater bulbs from Lexus. And a set of IS300 wheels collecting dust at this point waiting for new tires in spring.

Man I love those 5 speed ES300s. I looked for one for months but couldn't find one. So I got a 5 speed Legend insted.

How many of those 5 speed Es300s were made?

the 93s just see my sig. for 92, i think it's somewhere aroudn 1,190 [or is it 800 something .... crap i forget] . e-53 is a rare toyota transmission UNFORTUNATELY FOR ME, though many sister and cousin transmissions that are very similar. thing is decked out though. quiet good for 1991 fall, when it was released.

gerson, i like the lights for dash thing. i still haven't gotten to do it to mine. its sad cause my dad taught me NASA-spec electrical soldering when I was 6, so I could probably do a good job. hahahaha but I dont care about it enough, nor have enough money to do it right now. maybe you can change that perspective, how much does it costs in parts to do the cluster mod? I'm thinking of doing something different to mine but I'm keeping it a secret so that no one copies me before I do it lol hint: old laptop

cargo net --- come on ... are you freakin serious? of all the things to spend money on. id rather save up for the myriad ofmaintenance and repair things that are happening to our cars as they beg to go in retirement but are banned from social security by our forceful, shifter-using hands.

I went thru Lexucan's Thread for changing the backlighting on our clusters. Couple bulbs are dim so I went ahead and order all 8 LED bulbs. The cargo net is necessary cause I carry a few things around + it cost me 20 with my discount. I dont carry junk like other ppl that stuff the crap out of their trunks. Dont want any of my things rolling around and hit my CD changer either.
