5 speed owners updates?
Hey everyone,
I know I hardly post on this forum but I'm curious of whats new lately for all 5 speed owners? I've been busy myself n so far improving my 2ES little by little Pics are on their way so I can show what I've done n will clean the car up more. So far this is what I've done in the last couple of months:
The Good
-Replaced front and rear Leather seats (no more tears, swapped from a donor Lexus )
-Falken Ziex ZE912 tires 215/60/15 (given to me for free as a b-day gift)
-Engine cover (from a donor Lexus)
-CD changer (free gift too)
-Cat. Converter (free from a donor Lexus)
-Rear Strut mounting Plates (New toyota parts)
-Spectre AFM adapter with a Weapon R dragon filter (I had it on my storage stash)
-Water temp sender for gauge(New Lexus part)
-Used Rear hubs (due to broken sensor rotors for ABS)
-New Toyota rear brake pads and resurfaced the rotors
-New CV boot kit on pass side (New Lexus part)
The Bad
-Needs front suspension work. Now collecting new toyota parts and going to get Tokico HP inserts and lowering springs (not decided yet).
-Power steering pump seeping fluid. I'm getting a seal kit to rebuild it rather than buying a whole new pump since its not making unusual noises.
-Oil pan and rear main seal
-Front motor mount and dog bone mount
-Shifter cable bushings worn. Getting a SpeedSource shifter cable bushing kit in a couple of weeks. Will write up a DIY pretty soon for those who wants to do it as well.
-Some girl going fast in a gas station in June while my bro was putting gas 4 me. I was at work that day. She hit my car on the front pass. side bumper (just scratches but its gonna cost her insurance $902.35 for the damages, still waiting for a response for either a repair or cut me a check. She is at fault for not looking and on cell phone (idiot!).
-2 months later I was at fault on a minor accident, was reaching over my wallet on pass seat n suddenly saw a 2006 rav4 infront of me n could not stop on time. So I rear ended her car leaving only minor scratches. I damage my hood so slightly, the grill, and hood latch support for hitting her spare tire cover. Not very noticable but at least my insurance took care of it immediately. I'm dealing with increase of 2 dollars more per month on insurance which isnt so bad (lucky me ).
I'm also getting my 1st home before November so I can work on my Lex afterwards. Raising money isnt easy but I hope I get approved for a FHA Loan to make my purchase along with a good down payment so I can lower monthly payments and still be able to have money on my pocket. Wish me luck...

Interesting..pics would me nice.
So less sidewall, but do the tires 'stick out' more than the oem size? (I'm thinking of the michelin man...'marshmallow' look that i currently have)

Lexus Champion
When 5 speed is said without manual or automatic appended, it is assumed manual.
although, one day, there will be a thread, on internet 2.0, asking all the people with old-fashioned 5 speed auto to chime in, when the current lexus will be using CVT mated to "mini fusion reaction 7"s with VVTisquared option.
