Honest opinion? the 19s look a bit too big without some kind of body kit. I'd say 18s will look suitable on your car.

It might look better if it were 3" lower..

even then.. not feeling the black face. doesn't flow with the car well.

yes, honest opinions are 18" and not black. im fairly positive that most of my future wheel purchases will probably be 18". 19" tires are expensive.
and lower.
post some pics when you do get them though.

19s are fine but just that you need to lower it, but 18 would look fine with out needing a drop, but hey your car not ours, but dont get it back not really feeling it

photoshopped with a moderate drop. 19s still look too big. Large rims on a small body doesn't look proportional.

18s FTW! those look nice, but they for some reason make it look more 4x4 than mine did with 18s

then again, 18s without MOAR LOW FTL!

Been there done that, if i were not broke, i would be on coils...

But 18s are NOT the worst on stock height. Look for my thread with 'season 09' and you will see my last year setup on similar looking wheels...

cheers,
mike

Rollin'RX3, I think the chrome or the hyper silver that you were looking to get, would look nice on your ES. I do agree with everyone else that the 19's seem very big on an ES, also like everyone stated, the cost for tires is more expensive for 19's versus 18's. I got 18's from a fellow CL member on here. Mine do rub a little, but it's due to worn out spring and struts. My rear rims are flushed with the rear quarter panel.

I've posted a pic of my car with 18's. GSteg, could you photoshop my car being lowered, so I can see how it would look lowered. I'm looking to go with coilovers to lower mine. Thanks...........

Here you go. Not sure how low you want it, but I dropped it slightly.

Whats your tire size on the 18s you have and how wide are the rims?

ex: 18x8.5.. 235-40-18

I don't like the black rims. Sorry, but I think your car would look sweet with some chromies!!

Cool, thanks GSteg. Im looking to lower to where the tire just about clears the the fender, back and front, like a finger width above the tire. So in the photoshop pic, I would probably go little lower in the front and rear looks like its even with the fender.

My rim size are 18 x 8.5 front and back, forgot what the offset is, but I do have 15mm spacers with longer studs in the rear. The rim sits flushed front and back. Tire size is 255/40/18. When I replace these tires im going a little narrow on the width, maybe 235 or 225/ 40 or 35/18. Like I said in my last post, I'm rubbing on the outter edge of the rear tires. So if I go to a narrow tire and stretch it and maybe with a slightly lower profile, I should have no problem with rubbing anymore, esp. when I lower it.
