i took off my driver side wheel and removed the well liner and removed the air intake resonator, still have the stock intake and replace the filter with an stp filter once a year for 13 bucks. sounds ok, plus keeps the engine breathing clean air
oh yeah i also hacked off my exhaust resonator and welded a straight pipe, seeing a lot more exhaust smoke but not sure if there's any power gain at all. i would recommend you keep the exhaust resonator on.

Lemme bump this thread back to life. I just had my pipe made out of stainless
you guys might want to see the sienna 01 intake, it's much more nicer looking
Note i kept the stock mr2 airbox as im not a fan of cone filters

Does your car have dual throttle bodies like the picture above? or does your engine look like this https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es3...e-finally.html
I have that intake for sale, the MAF flow sensor is different on my car, its a lot smaller than the cut out on the intake, it was for a different year ES

Hello,
Is there any particular reason why you are looking to upgrade the intake?
Those intakes are surprisingly well designed from the factory, giving very little resistance from the get-go, so all you will likely get with the new intake is more noise and a very marginal performance boost, which will likely go unnoticed during normal driving, that is if it was calculated right and your MAF sensor won't start sending misleading information to the ECU, causing more troubles than good..
If you do wish to upgrade the intake nonetheless, the one shown on pictures below should work for all ES300/330 past year 1999, when they upgraded the MAF sensor and its mounting solution.
Hope this helps and best of luck!

My turbo(s) is going to go where the 2ndary cats currently are. It will draw air from the engine bay or from the fender area. There is plenty of space in that area. It will have it's own oil and coolant supplies as well as seperate pumps and or fans.

I wonder what sense does it make, considering how little aftermarket performance parts and support are available for that engine, you may as well get something like IS or GS for the same kind of money and gain much more performance out of them..
Hope this helps and best of luck!

Guys are getting from 300-1000whp out of these things ( Camry/LS/Solara ) with boost. Some have cams cut. The heads already flow 265cfm on the intake ports without porting. My goal was a 300-400whp daily driver. It can do this already with boost, fuel system mods, some add on electronics and tuning. Turbo's aren't that expensive and if i do the install and tuning myself the labor cost me only time.
I have other cars, but this is something i'm doing on this car just because. Sleepers are cool.
