I'm gonna be putting mine in this weekend, they say Made in Japan. I'm not sure on the model numbers, but it might be the different numbers for sealed or non-sealed struts. I've only seen Tokico cartridges for non-sealed, but that'd be my best guess. I don't remember the model numbers on mine (they're the non-sealed), I got them from www.shox.com so you could go there and look at the application guide. I also got the B & G springs (1.6" drop) from there, $500 shipped for springs and struts (didn't seem bad to me).

It said Made in Japan on the box and the shocks. BTW, the parts numbers on mine are HZ3138 and HZ3139, I'll have to check an application guide to see which ones are front and rear. I believe they fit at least 92 to 94 non-sealed. I just noticed you've got a '97, so the part #'s won't matter to you, but maybe someone else will care.

I'll hopefully be able to tell you within the next few days, we're changing everything out right now. I'm not expecting it to ride like it did after the springs, struts, and 225/40/ZR18 tires, but it shouldn't be real harsh either. Flipside said the Tokico's for Lexus are softer than they are for alot of other cars such as the Integra.

Hey Kyle, how much is the shop charging to put the new struts and springs on? When I called around in Utah, it was like $300-400 just for the fronts. I haven't yet got the new struts or springs yet because I cannot afford it right now.

I'm lucky and my dad can do just about any work I need done, so I got him to do it for next to nothing. We just got done about 11:30 tonight so I haven't taken it for a testdrive yet. I don't know how much a shop would charge, but if that $300 to $400 is for install only, it seems very outrageous IMO. If that includes parts it's probably reasonable, but I'd look elsewhere if it's for install only.

I just took it out for a little test drive; rides a little rougher but definitely not bad, you feel the bumps a little more; but it's a tighter, more controlled ride.
