Default taillights??

Im planning on blacking out my taillights but i have realized it only looks good on certain ones. i have a 96 es300 and in the middle of the taillight is an orange horizontal stripe. But the taillights like the 97 es300 with the white stripe look 10x better. Does anyone have an idea where i can find these type for my year???

you can clear the ones you have. but if you black them out right, you can't even tell the orange is in there.

Besides becoming a safety hazard, blacking out the whole or part of your taillights imho, doesn't look all that great.
I have cleared the orange strip from the rear turn signals and replaced the turn bulb to amber.

I do have a diy tutorial, search "es300 clear tail"

Its a fairly easy mod. Unless you have a real LED board (AKA custom) set up in there, I'd advise against blacking them out. My reasons are the same as above
