Newbe here: I replied to a simular thread with this symptom. Then deleted it(sorry) so I could post my own.
I am about to get a 1992 lexus es300, and the seller has same symtoms, actually he says car idles fine cold, then after 15 minutes on road at a stop it dies, or he has to keep hitting the throttle to keep the rpms up, check engine light is on, I checked for a code, code is 21 > o2 sensor, and he has silicone & duck tape around snorkle, saying it had a crack in it.
is there only one o2 on these the one I see in engine bay, or is their another on or around exhaust?

there are two sensors that you should be concerned about, the first one you can see, the other one is located between the firewall and read cylinder bank.
But first off, buy a new snorkle, vac leaks here will cause un-metered air to get into the engine and cause all sorts of problems. And FYI the previous owner, who put silcone (RTV) on the snorkle, probably did not know that most RTV's will contaminate a O2 sensor, and render it useless. Never use RTV anywhere near the intake, unless it specifically states that it is O2 sensor safe.
Also the stalling is likely to be the IAC valve, it probably needs to be cleaned.

I also heard that the timing belt should be replaced at 60 or 90 k, is that on the 92 es300's or did I see that on a different model lexus.
sorry I don't know how many miles on this one, but my daughter loves it, nad it would be a good first dd for her. The engine did sound great, when I started it. didn't take it for a test drive to see what he was talking about as far as the dieing went I just ran the codes via jumper wire(paper clip).
