Default Fall pixx of my '92 ES300...

Hi,

Before anything I wanna appologize to everyone putting a thread without pics, had trouble uploading them so I made attached images. Just wanna share my progress of my 92 ES300 5 speed. After owning it since March 2009, putting money into it with genuine Toyota and Lexus parts and my own labor, the car is turning out great and much cleaner like a Lexus should be. You can compare my old pics thru my CarDomain link below of what it looked like first.

Despite the little issues like the struts and rear main seal, i'm very proud to own this one of a kind 2ES with a 5 speed. Will continue to restore and modify this car as i would like it to be. Heres some pics below I would share with all of u starting with the exterior:

Very clean looking ES. Jealous of the 5 speed.

Keep up the good work and keep updating us with pics!

Will keep doing updates to the 2ES but can't promise to do it quite often, but I won't dissapoint anyone so I can keep all of u happy with more pics and the status. I'm still looking for a set of Tokico HP inserts thru ToyotaNation members so I can do my suspension next and some TRD bits here and there (I only got a Fuel Cap cover for now).

i'ts not a one of a kind , though it's rare. i got a 93 5speed and there's like 5 people here witha 92 5speed

i forget, how come your leather seats look new?

im thinking of stealing your idea for air intake filter because my box is missing one of the metal latches and i dont like the possibility that on occasion it might be opening slightl, but im afraid of water through that cone filter though

love the car! [i am biased]

leaving seat belts cliped will cause the spring mechnism to wear making the belt retact slowly or with inssuficient force........ no point to doing that , isthere?

again, love your clean. i need to replace my leather shift ****, it's gotten 'smoother over'. sometimes this causes a problem. i also have too much slack from what i guess is a worn out shift bushing somewhere. its something i noticed before seeing your pic that the camry shift **** is smooth rubber type like that one pictured and has the circled R. the lexus 5speed gets a non circled R fully leather shift ****

Thats true, I wonder where the rest of the 5 speed owners are up to? roll call anyone?

The seats look newer because I got the parts from another ES300 that was wrecked on the front. It was from a cash 4 clunker car back in August 1st, a day before my b-day. The sales dept. told me if I needed the parts from an ES like mine and they let me as long as I put my old parts back to the other car. So I took the engine cover, 6 disc changer, front and rear seats, tires and wheels, and antenna....all 4 free . Considered it as the best b-day gift ever.

I tried to get some slack out of the shifter. I bought the SpeedSource shifter cable bushing kit (the Toyota big version kit for our cars). Didin't help much but feels better between shifts. Still have to figure out that issue which is becoming common for our ES' and Camry from 92-93.

I hate you ever more. ;-)

you basically can do lots of things like that. wish i could. what sucks is that there are VERY few 93 5 speeds in existence. there are more 92s from what i gather, that were made by toyota/lexus. so , i only have you and a few people to tell me what there is to fix things because its hard to find this info on google/this site ... toyotanation comes into play, often for tranny stuff for me. i pulled on the cable to tranny ''area'' and noticed theres slop RIGHT there, for one thing... so for sure .... there... anyway, one of us should start a thread just on that soon. moving on,again, i hate you, and your car. congratulations. hopefully we'll solve the slop [on my previous car... wait, ill just talk in an appropriate thread]

Added couple more pics of my lil' mods, a rare Genuine TRD Japan fuel cap cover and Coach Edition black pearl emblems (not yet installed until spring). More teasers on their way.... I also received my Tokico HP inserts thanks to a member of ToyotaNation (anyone have Tokicos installed on their rides? How it feels?...or I'm pretty much the 1st to try?). Will put those on pretty soon as I get some new Toyota Strut parts (mounting plates, rubber spring seats, and bumpstops) plus i'm looking for a used rear pair of serviceable Toyota struts if anyone got them laying around. Enjoy!
