How did you find your engine? I'm looking to replace my 3VZ-FE V6 motor in my 2003 ES 300. I can find used motors but am wondering if new are available - I just got off the phone with a Toyota dealership and they say they don't sell new complete motors.

Any thoughts?

kevin has obviously left us.

lex driver, your '03 does NOT have a 3vz-fe. it has a 3mz-fe. you see, it's a very common mistake people make. secondly, you shold get your engine from a junkyard, ask around, youll find the nearest junkyard that sells low-mileage engines. youll find many more that sell/will get you engines that aren't necessarily low mileage.

there are also etailers that sell engines. your engine is relatively new example, it may be slightly difficult to acquire, but no where near impossible. make phone calls. You should expect something like 800-1200 for a 60K mile engine with 6mos warr. it's also a good idea to get the vin of the donor car to check for mileage, i always do.

why are you looking to replace your 3MZ-FE engine? you should in the future make a new thread for your issue, but only after DOING A SEARCH. this is called thread hijacking. but we're all terrorists around here so I'm not flaming you or something.

anything else I/we can help you with let me/us know.

nice work. 3 days sounds about right. It took me 3 days to replace the motor in my 87 camry. I was exhausted just like you but it felt good.
