Default Need help with Rim sizes for 2002 ES300

Hello Everyone,

Does the 2002 ES300 have more room for wider tires than the older generation(96-01) or is it same. If its the same then i can refer to the thread that discussed this some time ago saying max is 18x8.5 for rims and 225 for tires.

I have a 2002 ES300 and been thinking of putting on rims. I am getting a great deal on 19 Inch Giovanna 505 with tires. They are staggered so the front has 245/35/19 tires and the backs are wraped in 275/30/19.
I am concerned that they may be too wide for this car. The stocks are 215/60/16, the overall diamter of the new rims is still .8 inches smaller then teh stock but the width is whats concerning me. Going from 8.5 inches all around to 9.5 in the front and 11 in the back.

Does anyone have any expereince or any suggestions?? This is how they look:

(I had to cut the guys face out because i'm sure he wont like me posting his pic around).

I went to see them but dont want to commit until i can try them on and go for a nice drive but i'm sure he wont allow that and its better if i dont put him and myself through the hassle if i know better before hand. It'll take some time so any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Its all about the offsets and that is too wide for that car.

Any reason you want these in particular?

Unless you are getting them for less than 500$ don't bother. Take the time, research and then buy a proper package for the car.

You are right. I checked up all other articles/posts regarding this and will probably stick with something much thinner. I think something like 19x8 or even 18x8 will be great.

Thanks for your help.
