My moms car had that problem starting today on her 2000 es300. Anyone know what it could be?
Basically when she pushes the button on the dash for the trunk to release, nothing happens. She has to manually use the key in order to release the trunk.
Thanks

This is a confusing thread?
-what year is your ES?
-does the key fob trunk release work?
-have you checked the valet switch/lock out as stated above in your glovebox? This button can accidentally be activated going in and out of the glovebox.
