Smile 97' ES300 with Yellow Fog Light Capsules - Pics

I decided to do a yellow capsule mod for the fog lights of my 97' ES300. I have been wanting to do this for a while, but have not had the time. Previously, I was using Luminics JDM Yellow bulbs, but there is honestly no comparison in color. Using the capsules gives off a really deep yellow:

Capsules are yellow glass covers where the bulbs go inside.

Here is a picture of what they look like:

It's pretty easy, it took me about 5 hours to do including baking. The yellow fogs look great with my 6000k HID's. I would recommend it if you really want the real Lexus yellow look. You will be happy once you put the capsules in there, bulbs don't compare IMO.

well, i think you are right by what he meant, but when I hear capsules I think of bulbs, it can be used for both purposes.

for example, look up sylvania H7 halogen bulbs/capsules.

So let me get this straight. The capsules are NOT complete fog replacements? What I mean is that are you still using the clear lense you see on the lower bumper? According to the description link from R1R I see the capsule/buld assembly only. If that is true, what is taking 5 hours to swap and what is being "baked" ? Sorry if my question(s) sound stupid, I am just trying understand. Thanks

No. They are little 'condoms' for the bulb, if you will.

But since they are wider than the hole, which is made for the bulb alone to squeeze in, you have to crack open the fog light assembly and have them mounted internally.

This would give you a better idea, a more brute approach with cutting the housing but same capsule: http://mysite.verizon.net/dinhdu/index.htm

Btw, OP, looks freaking awesome! Immediately i started thinking of doing the same, but i will be taking things in a different direction for next year!
