well figure i should introduce myself. im john and i just purchased my first lexus es300. Its a 1995 and in decent condition. First thing i did was change the purple tint to some dark 20% all the way around. Now ive got an aftermarket amp and 2 12's i would like to wire into the factory stereo. Is there anyway to do this with a LOC? I was thinking i could just tap into the rear 6x9's signal. Do you think this would work? Next problem is the infamous needles and backlighting out. Did a search and ill get that fixed lickey split. Last question, where is a good play for aftermarket parts for these things. I would like to change my headlights (something clean, nothing crazy) and my tail lights (maybe something tinted). Thanks guys, Im sure ill be on here every day.

As for the headlights, the thing to do is to bake them and remove the amber strip if you want that clear corner look. Then throw in some HIDs. Just tint the tails a smoke or what ever you prefer. Or open it and take the orange strip out too. It's harder than doing the headlight because the glue is different.
Also these are 92's. I believe the 95's have the horizontal lines.

As far as the sterio goes, I would suggest tapping into the rear line output at the amp. The amp is located under the front passenger seat. You could also get the 12 signal to turn on the amp. Of course you will need to run a appropriate power line to the amp.

ill get some pictures up here soon.
i think ill be buying the black housing headlights here soon along with a aftermarket radio.
i hate cars that have a factory amp, drive me crazy trying to get it bypassed. from my understanding the amp is under the passenger seat. am i correct? is there any image that might show a diagram matching speaker to color?

the factory stereo and the quietness of the car should be very good.........
besides a high level input taping the rear speakers for your trunk subwoofer's new amp ...... I recommend taping into the low level line, instead, with some shielded RCA line, that goes from the LEXUS head unit to the LEXUS 8-speaker amp.
The reason to avoid the high level signal going to the rear speaker is that the 8speaker amp may color the sound that goes to the rear speakers different from the other speakers [ for example it might add more bass emphasis].
