Default New Tires...Do I need to calibrate speedo?

I have a 2004 ES with 54000 miles on it and just got a new set of General Altimax HP tires. I did extensive research and found them to be a great performer and excellent price. We just got back from a 1000 mile road trip and they performed very well even in snow and ice.

I did notice now that my avg mpg on the highway is only like 25 where it used to be 29 or so. I updated the nav maintenance section with the new tire info but I think that system is seperate from the cars main computer. Does anyone know if there is a place to re-calibrate the car to let it know I have new tires or do you think there is a completely seperate issue here? Thanks

No need to re-calibrate. Your mpg drop is probably due to cold weather, and wind resistance. Dont know about your location, but here in southern IL, its been a windy cold winter so far.
