Default HUGE PROBLEM 97 es300

Was installing a deck. Plugged everything in. it worked. so today i was finishing all the wireing and now theres no power to the deck. At first i thought it was the deck itself. So i plugged in my stock head unit and there was no power to there as well. I checked the fuses and they were good. Need help on this.

Are you using the stock OEM amp or an aftermarket amp?

I might be wrong, but I've been told that if your using the OEM harness from the amp, then the amp is feeding power to the head unit and the speakers. If that is the case, you might have a problem with your OEM amp, might of fried it somehow. Must people going with an aftermarket head unit go with an after market amp and then tap into the speaker wire harness at where it plugs into the OEM amp to send the signal from the aftermarket amp to the speakers.

I'm almost 100% sure your stock amp is fried. If there is no power going to the head unit and all the fuses are ok, then you need to replace your stock amp. You can also bypass the stock amp and run the power directly to your head unit.

Only if the OP bought a head unit that can handle the power. Witch would be even harder if OP has a pretty powerfull soundsystem.

I'm always scared that my soundsystem is going to blow something everytime I turn it up high. At night, my headlights damn near turn off when the bass hits hard.
