I just paid $2700 to get the back half of my car repainted. I will see it on Saturday. It should be worth it. BTW if you are in Northern Calif I suggest you go to Southern Cali for a paint job.
Compare the labor rates:

Northern Cali - $65/hr

Southern Cali - $34/hr

Both are top notch shops. Difference is there is a union up north. Unions are so archaic now. Just seems to be an easy way to help workers do less and make consumers pay more. Oh well, I guess I am surprised such practices have made it into the 21st century.

i learned in economics class that unions are the same as cartels, but cartels are illegal and unions are not.

BTW the front half will be painted after all the work inside my car is done. I don't want a bunch of mechanics to rough it up. It tends to happen even in places it shouldn't like Lexus dealers.
