Hey guys i've been looking around for a while and I still haven't found anyone who really has really messed around with this platform except for aesthetic looks or cruising ride. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with a good set of exhaust, headers, engine work (1MZ-FE) or suspension (I read up on Slooooooow's stickyhttps://www.clublexus.com/forums/es3...nnovation.html) & his ride was gorgeous but im just looking for something without a headache (COs would be lovely). Plus im not gonna add a S/C or Turbo lmao. I just wanna make my baby run as fast as technically possible. Any suggestions ?
Plus for you 2gen 94' owners, maniax made the impossible possible with MT <--- wish I had :/

^ HUH?!?!?!? I've installed 3 of them in the last year, and worked on 7 of them. I;ve sent 1 to australia, and about to send another to Australia. They go for around $2500 used, and then you need a $100 fuel pump. ONLY way your getting decent power is either a 5-speed swap, or Boost. Exhaust, Intake, Headers won;t get you much of anything unless your boosted or have other engine work done. Trust me on that.

^ Oh shush! You already have a stock 5-speed! lol
drd, I live in CT and just do work once in a while out of my garage. I'm in Ft. Lauderdale on vacation right now. Was at a car show tonight actually.
As for blowing your engine. I drive my car like it;s in a race, and it has 150k miles. I;ve had the SC on for I think, about 30k miles.
For headers, get the OBX headers/y-pipe if you do plan to get boosted. They are not all that expensive, and are pretty good quality. Even though on ebay they say they are for the Solara, they will bolt right up to the '94.
Being '94, there is only 2 small (but easy) issues to take care of, as the '94 is a 1 year only motor setup. The AC idle up vsv is on the intake plenum, so you need to reroute it with the SC. I have 2 friends with a SC on thier '94, so I can get pics. The other is a knock sensor issue. you need to relocate the knock sensors outside the engine, or the ECU will retard the timing too much and take a lot of power away. again, easy thing to deal with.

alright its been like 6 mths and i got money to spend on this project yay!
im planning on working on the suspension first:
ive been reading slooooows posts on suspension for 2Gens and so far this is what I got:
TEIN S.TECH LOWERING SPRINGS TOYOTA SOLARA 99-03 6CYL
US $166.99
link here
KYB 4 GR-2 STRUTS SHOCKS ES300 & TOYOTA CAMRY 92 93 94
US $255.82
Discounted priceUS $243.03
link here
All I need now are dust boots (which I found @ Advanced Auto) & strut mounts right? Question is, can you use the old strut mounts from the old coilcovers or I have to buy them ?
oh and im planning on getting too whiteline's rsb
93-97 ES300 Lexus Whiteline Rear Anti Sway Bar BTR36
US $140.00

Second on my list was to work on my exhaust because i have a nasty exhaust leak @ the y-pipe and my cat is all burned up. I was thinking about getting the obx shorty headers but i rather get long tube headers like XERD Long Tube Headers but the're rare and im not gonna spend over a grand on custom ones. but from what i've read here on the threads with a good enough custom y-pipe @ a good shop you can get the same results as obx shorties. any suggestions for a dual-exhaust setup?

Hit up ASG14 and WickedToyz they are the Camry/Es300 geniuses. Gino lives in Florida and is always willing to help.
I recommend you to do the five speed swap.According to others, it's the best mod you can start with. You will lose 100lbs and gain an extra gear.I'm saving towards doing my swap.
