Default 2 day old es300 doesn't handle road bumps well. any advice?

2 days ago i picked up a '02 es300 with the all season tire option. since day one, i've noticed that the car doesn't handle bumps well. if i drive over a slight pot hole, bump, (basically anything put a perfect flat street surface), i feel every bump. it's like the shocks aren't absurbing any bumps (big or small).

could it be the tires? i did check my tire pressure and but's inflated correctly. btw, i'm not a bridgestone potenza fan. i didn't know i was getting those e92 tires. yuck.

anyone else experience this bumpy road?

I have an '02 ES with Toyo Proxes J33 summer tires and it smoothes out road bumps very well.

It doesn't sound like a tire issue though. I would go back to your Lexus dealer and have them take a look at it.
After all, one of the strengths of the ES is its smooth ride, and you're don't seem to be getting that right now.

They always try to tell you that their tires are better, but the facts are that you can always buy better tires and etc. from aftermarket stores for cheaper than you paid the dealership for their " Better" parts.

why do you think it is the tires? have you talked to the dealer yet? if it is the tires, unless they are defective then everyone's es should be riding like yours. i think it is either a defective set of tires, or something is wrong with the car

Default what cars were i driving before this....

Cadillac Catera for 3 years. Before that, an Eldorado coupe for 6 years.

However, before the Lexus arrived, I was driving a rental car Ford Taurus for one week.

All of these cars handled bumps better.

BTW
I did speak with Lexus today. I'm bringing the car in Sat morning. The service rep (over the phone) said he never heard of this problem with the ES300. He added that maybe the pins between struts weren't removed before I drove the car off the dealership lot. We'll see.

Yeah, I've heard of the rubber pins not being taken out before, causing cars to ride like a tank. The ES should ride better than all the previous cars you ahve owned.

My '03ES was delivered with Bridgestone tires and so far I'm 100% satisfied with the ride and handling of this car. My tire pressure is 32 psi all around. I don't know why some people put down these tires??
My '94ES came equipped with Michelin tires and I wasn't as pleased with them, so I finally changed to Pirelli Sport Veloches which was much better in my opinion.
