Default Supercharger

Will the TRD Supercharger for the 3.0L 97+ Camry work on an ES of the same generation??? I'm gonna get a new (new to me) car here, and I'm torn between Prelude or ES (I know, they're kinda different type cars) and if the TRD Super would work for the ES, I'll prolly go with that. Also, does anyone make a cat-back exhaust for a 97+ ES? Thanks.

I'm lookin at a generation 5 Prelude (97-01). The thing is, I'm a die-hard Lexus fan... and the Lexus is just a lot more refined and comfortable, not to mention the interior on a Prelude will never come close to that of an ES. But I dunno, I change my mind everyday on which car to get.

Ok, I just talked with Craig out at Rod Millen in Huntington Beach.... he said that it would bolt on just fine, but since the ES has VVti... the fuel mapping and stuff is completely different. It might work for some of the first generation ES300's perhaps.... But i'm wondering if some sort of remapped ECU or something could fix the whole fuel map problem... if I remember right, isn't there someone roaming around these boards who works for Weapon-R?? Can you guys help out in anyway?

Thumbs up non vvti fits

The supercharger should fit non VVTI 1mzfe powered Es300 all you realy need is to buy a S-afc and get the car dyno tuned.Only problem there might be is if the EBC(electronic boost controler) and EGR tube dont fit. There is one 1995 1mzfe camry that is running with a supercharger and he did some custom work to get it on but it works great.Just come on www.camryman.org and ask Gibson about his install and he will give you some good tips.

If anyone actually does this, let me know. It sounds like something I would be willing to drop the money into if I knew anything about it.
