Anyone have a power steering diagram for a '96 es300?
Please, please, pretty please???
New owner here and I have a very bad leak, I'm pretty sure is coming from a hose. Been to a couple parts places but no diagrams and it's a bit confusing...
Do they really power the radiator fan with the power steering fluid?!? WTF???
A good diagram or drawing with all the hoses/pump/rack would be indispensible, if anyone has one or a link to one. Something with part #'s would be awesome(!).
Also, are there any links to a service manual for a '96 es300?

It's a '96. I can see a hose coming & going from the radiator fan assy (looks like from the drivers side thru the fan and then out towards the passenger side?), and it looks like the power steering filter up top behind the radiator(?). I'd be happy to snap a pic and post it it helps..

Attached are diagrams showing the pump and the rack. Check the hoses, but it's likely you will have to reseal the pump.

search for 1993 FSM and 1997 FSM. pick the one most similar to yours .... which like asg, i thought yours was electronic fans not hydraulic fans.... let me see here ...
edit: going by ******* you do have hyd fan. then use the '93 FSM for a diagram
edit2: here is the picture [and youwill see more related pictures] from my photobucket

The sticker says it was built in 01/96, so maybe they changed during the '96 model year...
So they control the fluid to propel the fan electronically? Why not just an electric fan wonder?
Well, it is what it is. But it sure would be neat to see a diagram/drawing of the power steering fluid system. It would help immensly in determining which hose(s) I need.

Use the '94 Camry one: http://www.turboninjas.com/camry/
I know a guy personally that had a '91 ES300, and another guy with a late '96 ES300 with '97-'01 sway bar bushings/brackets on it from the factory.....figure those 2 out.

MikeLex - thanks for the pump & rack diagrams!
llcoolpass - thank you immensly for the link to your drawings! That helps make sense of things a bunch (i.e. the 2 PS fluid circuits sharing the same pump and reservoir).
ASG14 - thank you immensly too for the link to the manuals!

Well, it's a little confusing going to a parts counter and asking about the power steering hoses becasue there are a few of them and no diagrams or pictures to help. The links above help tremendously, but I still had to trace hoses to figure everything out. I wound up drawing a diagram of the power steering fluid hoses with both circuits (power steering and cooling fan) and thought I'd share with the forum. Hopefully it'll make someone's life a little easier in the future. The single line is hard tubing and the double lined sections are rubber hose.

you can't buy those hoses at any part store, they are dealer only. although you can improvise with straight hose and highpressure-withstanding elbows - just need the inner diameter in that case and a nearby lowes home improvement place haha. some of the hose though is special and really you have to get it at the dealer.
your picture is accurate.
