Default 96 ES Fog Light Replace & Install

How exactly can I replace the fog's bulbs? I tried finding out, and I only heard that it requires more work than installing headlights. If anybody has good instructions , let me know

Get on your back, scoot under the front bumper and look up. The back of the foglight is clearly visible in plain sight. There is a round cover. Simply unscrew is (Something like a 30 degree turn). The bulb will be right there.

Gonna have to be a little more specific than that. Year, Model (just making sure you have an ES), also do you need new housings? actual bulbs?

I would recommend getting housings from a junkyard, craigslist, or ebay,
Bulbs (for this model 92-96) are size H3 and you can get them at your local auto parts store.

I too need to change one fog light. I got under the car and for the life of me, I could not get that cover to budge. Am I to turn to the left or the right? Do I push in first?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just take the foglight off then. It;s held on by 2 10mm bolts, and 1 phillipshead screw. The phillipshead screw holds the splash shield to it, the other 2 10mm bolts are up/down when , and can be seen laying on your back lookng up.

Thanks for the advice, that's what I ended up doing. Very quick and painless once off. It was pretty stuck and difficult to get moving from the position it was in.

I just purchased a 96 es300 and the passenger fog light bracket is broken. Can I buy a replacement bracket or do I need to purchase all new housing.

You mean the thing holding your fog light to the car? If so, I might have a spare lying around I could send you if you cover shipping costs. Let me know if that is the part or not

@ crazyrod

Why does your 96 ES300 front hood have a Toyota emblem and not a Lexus instead? Though I know they're sister company's, I have the same car. Haha.

When I get enough time, I'll post some pictures and directions on "how to" disassemble 1996 ES300 fog lights. Stay tuned!...
