Default 3rd gen: Installed custom catback exhaust

Had a new custom catback installed. Deleted the resonator and finished it off with a magnaflow muffler. In real life it sounds like a cross between a g35 and a v8 mustang except it sounds louder. Thought it was going to sound raspy but it doesn't at all. It has a deep growl and some nice backfire occasionally. Sounds badass =p.

Sounds great, looks like the same muffler I have for sale too, it's a Magnaflow oval exhaust. It sounded the same way yours does, but I ended up changing it to the Magnaflow all chrome round exhaust, not as throaty as yours but almost. If anyone is interested I have one for sale, goto the ES300 classified. Great sounding exhaust KaldES98.

Thank you! I think it sounds like a mix between a g35 and a v8 mustang. It's pretty cool.

wow more details please. also how is it while cruising, is it droning or does it only sound loud when you hit the gas? I know it isn't an ES but here's my GS

with catback customs (man what a raspy ricer i was)

and then after headers and totally new piping sounds pretty mean lol much better

Haha yea the second one definitely sounds better/looks better. Mine only makes sound when you are on the gas. 2-3 k rpms it makes the most sound and then my intake noise takes over for the most part. At idle it is a very subtle but deep rumble.

It is the same 1MZ-FE V6 motor rjheger, only minor changes compared to your engine. As long as the rest of your exhaust system is good, it could sound just like it.

BTW, thats a good sounding exhaust Kald. Do u have any pics to show how its setup?

'99 and newer models incorporated the VVT-i system...anything prior didn't have it. Kald's ride doesn't have VVT-i either.

No pics of the setup yet I appreciate it though! Apparently it triggered a CEL light because it was too free flowing and I forgot to reset the ecu after I got the work done. Just reset the ecu about 2 hours ago. There is a difference in responsiveness and the check engine light is gone!

Nah, wish georgia didn't require emissions testing.
