I had 18x8.5 225/40/18 which only rubbed on back if I hit a huge dip (very rarely), plus with weight in the back at all times.
I'm not sure with 19's though because I've never had them on there.
20x8.5 225/35/20 is my current setup but I have alot of rubbing issues. I still haven't been able to find time to get my fenders rolled to fix the problem yet.
My ES is a 94 though so I'm not sure if it'll make a big difference though.
Hope this helped.

^^ It would make a difference.

I had 18x8 with same tire as you [on my 2001] and ZERO rubbing on stock suspension, and i went thru some rough roads as well...

Its all in the Offsets & widths...

I have 20's on mine, so u can do 19's easy

Good offsets, widths, and tire size = good fit
Plus you can roll the Quarter panels. (its not hard to do)

But i would go wit a 8" width and if you want them more flush ad spacers cheaper than getting new rims again.
