I have a 97 es300 and the lower oil pan gasket is leaking. i called the dealer and they want $350 to change it. Dont i just have to remove the 10 bolts and remove the oil pan and rtv it and re-install? i dont have to remove anything else do i? its just the lower gasket not the upper. alldata is saying 3 hours labor. that doesnt make any sense

It might need a little bit of extra effort if the pan was never removed. You have to cut the seal with a razor blade (gently) and pry (gently). Then scrap off the old sealant and clean mating surfaces. High temperature copper RTV was what I used.
