Is the LS worth the premium you pay? I was thinking about upgrading however I cannot decide if I would like the LS in my garage as much as I like my money in the bank.... Thoughts?

I would look for a older LS. I have a 04 ES, can't afford a new one, keep what you have, look for a early 90 -95 LS. Maybe a 99 LS. Look on auto trader. Keep some money in the bank. I seen some older LS cars in better shape then my 04 ES as far as paint chips, dents ,etc. Have fun shopping.

I bought the 98 ES new, and the 02 ES new. I bought the LS used, a couple of years ago and have never regretted it. I'm so happy with the 430 I can't see myself ever even going for a 460 .... I love the 430.
Money in the bank is nice, though. Money in the bank is also comfortable. It's just that an LS has so many more buttons and is so much more fun.

Thanks for the input.... The 04 is what I have in my sights. There is a CPO with 65,000 miles at my Lexus dealership. They are asking $22,900..

thanks for the input... I may go trade the ES for the LS. I can't help but think I would be happy, not to mention proud to be in the big boy. North Park is around the corner... I may run over there now!!

TEST DRIVE, TEST DRIVE, TEST DRIVE
...had an Air Force Officer Buddy, a bachelor, his weekend hobby was going to dealers and test driving different types of vehicles.
...we went to car lot looking for ES300 and dealer said just sold out, when more in? A week. There is a 94LS400, take a test drive. Too Expensive. No, you saw a 96 in showroom, in 95 they redesigned it, made it bigger and added $30K to price, but that 94 is a little smaller, not as pricey, nearer to ES but nicer car, try it...we loved it.
Took 94LS400 to Lexus Dealer for first oil change after buying from independent used car lot. They gave us an ES300 loaner car. Wife came home from work and said "I want my LS400 back". ES seems like a cheap tin can. LS like a lazy boy recliner in your living room.
Google "Lexus wiki" Read reviews LS400 rated top luxury car in the world, one of 5 best cars made in the 20th century, etc. etc. etc.

no comparison. Not that the ES was bad.... this is just a whole new level!!!
Mine has 64K miles and I paid $19900 for it. (CPO) The most unbelievable thing is that I cannot hear it when I give it gas.
I did pay the add'l $2000 for the Lexus upgrade to 125,000 miles.
