depends what u want to spend on quality of quanity.
now i have a cerwin vega v-max
ive went through 3 subs and all (i thought sounded amazing) were crap quality.
this one i amazint and its 800rms and my amp is 1000 rms max so in watts the amp does 1800 watts and im not sure on sub i just use RMS
if ur wanting to put a new sub and amp in with factory system ur gona need a line converter but i did that for awhile and i recomond go ahead and get after market head unit.
-you have more options to do with your sub.
-and this is just what i did when ur getting a head unit (if u decide to do this) u need with with 3 av outs front rear and sub. (unless ur going to bypass the factory amp)
-when u get the wiring harness it is set up to run ur stock car speakers off your factory amp so it will have 2 sets of av plugs for the front and rear jacks. and thats why i sugest the sub. av jack so you can place it sepratly
now that should answer ur question you amp has to match you subs so asking what wattage amp we dont kno cause we dont kno what subs you want.
hope some of this helps haha
