Head Gasket Leak 3rd gen
#16
nah I'm done with toyota. Everything they do is on par with honda except less fun to drive. I owned a 99' accord that was the best car I've ever owned, 5 speed + 17'' low pros = fun. Gonna try to find an 03'+ coupe with a manual doubtful to find a 6. A tl or cl type s with a stick would be nice but impossible to find and I know those autos are crap like you said.

Before you go any further, and possibly make a wrong and expensive decision, you should head to your nearest auto parts store and by a UV antifreeze leak detector chemical. It comes in a little pouch, and cost less that $4.00. You pour it into the antifreeze, drive for a few days, and than, using a UV light bulb you will be able to easily identify the source of your leak.
You may be pleasantly Surprised, and at most all it cost you is $4.00

Went to a Specialized repair shop dealing with only Bmw, Benzs, Lexus, etc etc. And got some good news back. No Head gasket leak as the other shop said YAY! just some other maintenance stuff that should be changed, mind I didn't get to drop it off and speak to them family member did.
but the listed for me what was suggested or needed.
Power steering pump and hose, already knew that 1
Driver door handle, knew that have it on hand
hydraulic lifter noise, yeah knew that too
Timing belt water pump camshaft seal and crank seal, I know its coming up
T-stat and gasket, maybe the leak?
Serpentine belt
Water pump valley tube and o-rings, leak?
trans flush, did 3 drain and fills few weeks back
and Valve adjustment.
I'll probably find out the cost soon, waiting on them to fax me the estimate
I'm in a much happier mood now
Oh and they mentioned its not common for these motors to leak there.
I'm just more pissed my Tire shop I like going to would try to pull 1 on my and screw me on this B.S.

^Nice, glad to hear it.
I really doubted that you had a seeping HG. You really didn't have any of the symptoms and these 1mz-fe's are bulletproof anyway. The HGs on the C32 engines are horrible though. But I am happy I have a C27.
I am glad you decided to have a couple places look at your car.
Oh and what lifter noise do you have? Does it only do that in the morning when it is cold and go away after a couple minutes?
