im noticing alot of dimming now that i got my subs plugged in and everything i just ordered my double din dash kit.. and now im looking for some is300 rims to slap on there.. Thank god i work for geek squad autotech because all this wouldnt of happened if it wasnt for my discount.... my point is i want to upgrade my alternator to a bigger one than the stock one so im figuring out which one would be the best for the amperage... ive heard of people frying boards because of way to big of an alternator so i want to see what could be the limit..
thanks... plus looking some other lexus owners in houston so we could do some meets.

you wont fry anything by adding a bigger alt. thats a common myth. as long as there is a regulator installed, the alt will not charge more then needed. what amps are you running in the car? i can point you in the right direction alt wise.

Only good thing is that since it's my stock it'll fit right in.
To my knowledge 130amp Highlander alternator is a direct fit as well.
What alternators would you recommend as well as how the would fit (new mounting bracket, harness adapter, etc...).
Thanks.
