Quick Question guys on Tires
If this has been ask my bad, hate for not wanting to use the search bar. But to the question, will 225/45/18 fit without rubbing with the 3ES?
cause me and my friend was looking at it i was scared that the back might rub, with 2 people in the back.

The correct 18 inch size for your 97 (and as well as my 98) would be 215 45 18. I'm running 225 40 18 on my car right now but before I tried 225 45 18 and it wouldnt clear my rear struts but then again my struts are not original. I just changed them. 225 45 18 is pretty big for that car. Even 225 40 18 is big for it. im switching back to 215's this weekend. Good luck!

Depends all on the offset of the wheels and what you can run.
I ran 225/40/18 on 18x8 rims with an ET of 40. Zero problems, no rubbing whatsoever.
Front was perfect rears had about half an inch of clearance from the back of the rim to strut assembly and about the same between the front of the rim and quarter panel lip.

The only way to fix it is by lowering, i haven't had the funds to do so, that is why i am on OEM suspension until i fix up all the important stuff on the car first...
Here is an et40 with 225/40R18 tires; not lowered:
Not the best image, but i don't feel like looking for another one & uploading it...
Its funny since my 17" appear to be just as big, but the gap is much smaller for some reason, in the above pic its a monster truck!

Hmmm okay, what kind of struts do you have? mines are oem so yea, 215 is just a little to low profile for me, and my car is siting at regular hight for now but did it rub with the 225/45/18 clear the front? if it did then it should clear the rear i hope, if not i guess i will get 225/40
