Hi,

I am in about to put an offer for a 2004 Lexus Es 330. Rear Power windows on both sides does not work on the car.

Any idea how much will be repair cost for it? Obviously I can take the car to dealer but I know that would be more than the cost if you took it to any other decent mechanic.

Well whats broke? Are the motors bad? Regulators? Switch? Have we eliminated all possibilities other than the motors?

On One side window operates and closes but slides down to about an inch. You can hear motor running. So I guess that is regulator problem.

One one side no motor buzzing. So it can be either electrical or mechanical.
Not sure how to investigate further without opening the door which is not possible since I do not possess the car yet.

I think I got a good deal on it. Single owner, 55 k miles, 2004 ES 330 for 11000.

THe window problems are still there and still looking around for cost estimate for repairs but dealer gave me an estimate of 1100 dollars for worst case scenario.

ANy thoughts on deal? Is it good, bad?
