Default Wheel fit question

I'm about to get my ES lowered 1.7" and am wondering if these wheels I was given will fit once lowered or if at all. The wheels are 18x9.5 and I already know they will need a spacer on the back, does anyone have any knowledge if they will even work at all on the fronts or all around? Should I just sell them and go with a more proper size?

9.5 is way too wide for the ES. you would have to do some extensive fender mods to get it to fit. I'm assuming you're lowered on springs, so with a 9.5 you will rub the strut like crazy. I know with a 9 wide wheel, you would need close to a +22 offset and a good amount of camber to get the wheels to fit flush with the fender. Unless those are your all time favorite wheels, I say get another set that will fit better or will take less work to fit. go for an 8.5 wheel with a +25 to +30 offset and you should be good to go.

Good to know, thanks for the info. It's what I expected honestly, and I'm not totally sold on the look of the wheels. I think I'll sell them and get some that fit better once it's lowered.

One last question, I have the stock wheels on it now, will lowering it 1.7" be an issue with them? I wouldn't think so, but I just don't want them to get the springs and struts put on and then find out something is rubbing. Would you need to know my tire size to give a better answer?

9.5" is possible in the rear, but fronts i doubt.
yes, stock wheels and tires will be fine.

Ok one other question, would rolling the fenders help and does anyone know the costs involved in doing that? Just curious, thanks again.

Ok, stupid me, after looking further, two of the wheels are 18x9.5 and two of them are 18x8.5..

I'm just going to take them down to the local tire shop and see what we can do about this. I'm getting the car lowered tomorrow with CM springs and KYB struts and then I'll head on over. I'll be sure to take pics if we do get it worked out.
