Default 17's or 18's

Hey guys, im planning on selling my current set of rims but i havent decided on my next set. Should i get 17s and let it sit cloer to the floor or should i get 18's with a mild tire stretch. And can anyone tell me how i can 17x8.5 or 18x8.5 wheels on my car? all of my fenders are rolled too. thanks for any input

If you want to go for looks and style, go for the 18s. If you want more comfort in your ride, 17s. Btw, any pics of the rims you plan on selling?

I answered your question in the other thread, with an old thread from here with pics...

ET 30-25 is what you need.

18" wheels look a bit big on ES's, IMO. I'd go with 17's. Don't stretch your rubber, that's just reducing your already limited contact patch.

18" for looks, 17" for ride
And unless your slammed I wouldn't stretch it either

It depends on the style. Some wheels in some styles can be physically larger but look smaller on the car.

When i had my 18" i loved them, they looked far more proportionate to the car IMO [well any mesh wheel on these cars, should be an 18"].

Now i have the 17" thin 5spoke rims and they look great in their own right...

The point is its all about the wheel styling, not just size...

Hell. I think i'm gonna go back to 18" this year, or early next year!!

^ yes. For the hella-flush [super slammed, cambered out cars].

Also stretching tires is nothing new. The muscle guys were doing this as early as the 60's & drift cars do this as well.
