Out with the old, In with the new, New stereo that is :)
Just finished re-doing my stereo. I was tired of the stock radio, especially with the fact that I had to use an FM transmitter for my ipod ()
Now I have a completely new stereo that I am VERY satisfied with!
Reciever: Clarion CZ500
Speakers: Clarion 6-1/2"
Subwoofer: Kicker Comp 10"
Amp: Power Acoustic
Old stock unit:
Gutted:
Doors taken apart:
And back together just like new:
Sexxxy
Lastly, the sub :P

Everything came out much cleaner that I thought it would and I am VERY impressed and pleased with the quality of this setup. More pics to follow later on

I don't think everything the same as the design changed a little for my year. If you aren't certain I would try looking online or to be safe just get someone to install it for you. Sorry I couldn't help much

For the door there is a screw in the inner door handle as well as the side pocket for your hand if you're closing the door on the inside. Theres also a screw for the panel between where the door and body meet. You can also pull off the tweeter cover, and then just lift the entire door panel off.
Sorry Im just recalling all of that off memory so some of it might be off, but I replaced my own stereo before in my 92 so its not too hard to figure out.

IDK why but all the newer H/U designs that have the rotary volume ****** moved more in the middle always just seems out of place in my eyes.
Other than that looks good. But more importantly Sounds better

Oh, and it sounds AMAZING compared to the stock setup. I'm going to post pics of all the stock speakers and how they are all cracked and torn apart. And mine is only a 2001 I cant imagine the condition of older speakers

A stock pioneer I believe, it's behind the rear seat headrests. If you look on the top of the trunk in the back you'll see it.
Nope, I'm keeping the stock stereo just in case.
