air always hot & no a/c `93
I'm fine with the windows down, but on long trips the a/c is good to have.
But even with the a/c off it keeps blowing in hot air though, even if the outside temp is around 60, the vents will bring in warm air.
I looked up expansion valve but these symptoms don't seem to match up.
Also, the a/c compressor doesn't come on. I replaced the relay, which looked burned out but turned out not to be, and still nothing. When I manually short the relay I hear a whirring noise (not like a compressor should be), but there is no cold air from the vents. I also do not read any voltage from the terminals at the compressor relay.
The green light on the a/c button does come on.

Check your coolant levels in your a/c system. If your a/c system falls below a certian pressure your compressor will not turn on to save it from blowing up. Your compressor might just be shot. This is the third time I have sent this link out today....lol www.camrystuff.com go to the 3rd generation section and look up the a/c manual.
If you a/c is shot, give these people a call. http://www.benwoodautoparts.com/ Talk to Michelle, tell her Zach sent you. She is awsome, always comes through.
